3.	Trenutne oz. hipne odločitve:

Prihodnjik z ‘GOING TO’ ima tele pomene:
1.	Z njim izražamo svoje namere, načrte in odločitve za prihodnost. Gre za takšna dejanja, ki si jih načrtoval/a pred trenutkom govorjenja:
•	I’ve won a lot of money. I’m going to buy a house.
•	At the weekend we are going to travel to Scotland.
2.	Uporabimo ga, če lahko na podlagi znamenj in okoliščin sklepamo, da se bo nekaj zgodilo:
•	Look at the guy on the diving board. He’s going to dive.
•	Bob is writing a maths test, but he hasn’t worked hard for it. - He’s going to get a bad mark.
